Color Adventure

There is this book called the "Color Code" that Stephen and I were really into when we first met. It is all about how personalities are categorized by colors. We actually found it pretty helpful when we were getting to know each other and the other person's little quirks. Besides colorful personalities, I find that I am not very daring when it comes to new color choices for me. I have owned a black purse since at least 2000 and almost always wear black shoes. Awhile back, I found a pair of red, patent, ballet slippers at Payless when I went in to look for new shoes for Benjamin. I was in a bit of a daring mood, and so I tried them on. I felt a bit more modern and sleek while wearing them and so for a low clearance price, I bought them. Ever since that day, I look forward to the days when I can wear my red shoes. On those days when they adorn my feet, I feel a bit happier inside. The practical side in me seems to be pushed back a bit further. I don't know what it is about the shoes, but they add a bit of spice to my life. Then the other day I was looking for a new purse. Of course, I was drawn to the section of black bags. After perusing the selection, I remembered my red shoes. My new colorful side seemed to jump to life, and I started looking for new colors. I settled on a slate, bluish-greenish, bag. It seemed neutral enough to attach itself to my practical side and colorful enough for my new daring side. Here's to adding more color adventures in my life!
