Stephen's Family Reunion

I have to give a disclaimer that I had a baby in my arms most of the time or was chasing Jacob so there are very few pictures of the trip or they are not so great iphone pics.  I know Grandma has more so I'll have to get them from her.

Wednesday, July 24th- We flew into Utah around dinner time and had dinner with the family

Thursday, July 25th- Lagoon

Friday, July 26th- Family Yoga Class, Hygiene kits for the Homeless shelter, delicious lunch at the social room at Grandma and Grandpa's condo, taking kits to homeless shelter and tour followed by swimming and a pizza dinner.

Saturday, July 27th- Visit to City Creek Mall (our family had never been there), afternoon nap for our youngest two, and family BBQ at David and Janet's house.

Sunday, July 28th- Music and the Spoken Word

We had a great time with family!

Emma

Emma has been very into drawing lately.  She loves to draw with a pencil but unfortunately there are now pencil smudges all over the house.  Here are some of her latest creations.

Also another thing that I wanted to remember is how Emma now has given everyone a new name.  She has  added "ie" to everyone's name.  Benny, Emmy, Jakey, and Sarahy.  I'm not sure her older brother is going to like being called Benny in public.

One last thing that I want to remember is this story.  Emma told me she was too scared to ride her bike down the hill at the park (for the record it is a very small hill on the path around the park in the development). I told her she was big, and she could definitely do it because she was four now. She again told me that she was afraid.  I repeated that she didn't need to be afraid because she was such a great bike rider, and she could do it.  Then she said to me "Yeah but somebody has to be afraid of something mom." Ten minutes later she was riding back and forth just to keep going up and down "the big hill."

Swimming Lessons

The kids finished their summer swim lesson.  Emma moved to Preschool 3 and Benjamin moved to the Youth 3 class.  The pictures below are of their last day for water safety.  Good job swimmers!
