Valentine's Day 2010

We had a really low-key Valentine's Day. Stephen has early meetings before our 11a.m. church so the plan was to have a special dinner. We came home from church and opened our presents and then decided that we were all too hungry to make our planned out meal. We ended up having leftovers from our taco dinner the night before. It tasted great and then we snacked on yummy chocolates the rest of the day. We also headed out to pass out a few valentines to some of Benjamin's primary class friends. It was a fun day with plenty of "I love yous" to go around!

Birthday Festivities!

The birthday started with Mom in bed sick. This was day number two of my illness so things didn't quite go according to plans, but the improvisation made it a unique and special first birthday for our little Emma. Dad and Benjamin did all the decorating the night before. It has become a tradition for the kids to wake up the morning of their birthday to a decorated house. It was a pink kitty theme since Emma loves animals but everything is still called "doggie." We let Emma open one present in the morning and then the rest were after the birthday dinner and cupcakes. Emma sure did enjoy her cupcake! We did too from our fabulous cupcake bakery. Emma got a pink dog that she now sleeps with a purple kitty and a new baby doll. She loves to gives kisses (open mouth picture) and feed her baby milk from the bottle (wrong end up). We all love you little miss! We hope that you had a great birthday!

The Olympics

Benjamin's preschool class had a special day last Thursday and did their own Olympics. He loved tossing the hula hoops, riding the flying turtles, and golfing for some of the many events. Here he is sporting his torch and gold medal.
