Easter Sunday
Easter Egg Hunt, Egg Dyeing, and Easter Morning Breakfast and Baskets
Our little town's Lion Club puts on a fabulous Easter Egg Hunt. We have gone for the past four years and always have a great time! This year was no exception. We knew to arrive early and do balloon animals first thing because the line is so long for that event. Sadly we didn't make it to face painting again this year because of the line (always way too long to wait). The hunts are divided into age groups so it is perfect that parents get to help the little kids all the way to age 10.
All ready for Jacob's hunt!
This was suppose to be Emma's hunt except she just decided to cry and refused to pick up any eggs.
Finally when it was Benjamin's age group Emma decided she wanted to have a go at it so we snuck her in to collect a few eggs. She seriously ran so fast collecting them. I was laughing so hard as I was trying to take a few pictures. Benjamin completely took off to the other side of the field, and I couldn't even see him in the mass of kids (it was definitely more crowded this year-- I think word is getting out about how great it is!)
Easter egg dyeing!
Easter morning- Jacob cracked us up. He was so timid which is so unlike him! He thought the bunny was in our living room waiting for him!

A Visit from Aunt Bekki, Erin and Brooke
For their Spring Break Aunt Bekki, Cousin Erin, and Cousin Brooke came to visit us. They flew in on Tuesday. Bekki and Stephen went to Costco business, and we spent the rest of the afternoon just hanging out.
On Wednesday everyone but Sarah and I headed to Seattle (Sarah had a feeding evaluation and she is just too hard to be away all day from home). They made it to Pike's Market, the Great Wheel, lunch at our fabulous Vietnamese restaurant, before heading home for the Pinewood Derby which I already posted about.
On Thursday we hung around the house, went shopping, headed out for a walk, made delicious food and then hosted an Origami Owl party at the house.
On Friday everyone but Sarah and I headed to the beach. It was a beautiful day and from what I heard everyone had a blast digging in the sand, collecting shells and splashing in the freezing water.
crab and artichoke dip!
The crazy part of the day was just after this picture was taken Jacob let go of his balloon on the way to the car. He was stunned and everyone became silent as it floated away. We were all expecting a screaming fit. He just looked so forlorned. We talked about how it floated away, and we could get him another one a different day. He never shed a tear over it. Instead the whole ride home he told me "my balloon flyed away to the clouds. Up, up, up to the clouds. I let go. To the airplanes."
Thanks so much to Bekki, Erin and Brooke. We had a fabulous week!
