Emma's Thinking . . .

Benjamin came running to me this morning while I was folding an enormous pile of clean laundry. He said Emma just went like this and put his finger up to his forehead like the sign for thinking. I told him that was great. He then went back to talk to Emma. I overheard him say this in a high pitched voice "that's thinking Emma, that's thinking. You said your first word."

Natural Light

Yesterday morning the sun was streaming in through my bedroom window. As I thought about that glorious sunlight, I decided to do a a photo shoot of Little Miss Emma with that natural light. I tried to recreate some of the newborn shoots that Stephen took. I can't believe how much she has grown. She now barely fits inside the basket. Here are a few of them including one of Benjamin because he needed in on the action too.

Colorado Trip

Here are some of the highlights from our trip to Colorado this past week. We flew there last Tuesday and flew back on Saturday afternoon. Thanks to all for a great week!

Brendan and Amy's Birthday Party

New Bread Recipe!
Grandpa showed Stephen a new video on the internet for how to make bread using a hand kneading technique. Here is the first attempt with cinnamon chips straight from Hagerman's. I thought it was absolutely delish both with just butter and the next morning for French Toast!

Benjamin found these glasses at Bekki and Rex's house. I think little Miss Emma looks just like a bug.
Brendan's Birthday Dinner

We celebrated Brendan's birthday at a very yummy restaurant. The children's portions were unbelieveable. Benjamin got four huge chicken tenders and four times the amount of french fries that Stephen had for $4.95. The best quotation was by Brooke as she talked about eating her prime rib. "I ate everything but the fatness" she said.
