Halloween!

Happy Halloween from Captain Hook . . .

Tinkerbelle
Peter Pan

and all our Neverland craziness!

My plan was to do a lot more fun Halloween things, but I threw out my back on Saturday and was completely down for two days and I wasn't able to do what I had planned at all for Halloween. I have learned that some years are like that and to just roll with it. Since I hurt so badly, I was just grateful to be able to walk to a few houses to trick-or-treat with my kiddos. We had dinner of jack-o-lantern pizza (Papa Murphy's) with salad and then snapped a few quick pictures. The new camera was on a weird setting so the pictures aren't as great as I would have liked them to be as we were leaving to trick-or-treat, but they do document the event.
Peter Pan and Mr. Smee
Tinkerbell complete with puffs and bells on her shoes.
Captain Hook
Erin (I visit teach her) and her daughter Leona came over to have dinner and trick-or-treat with us. Her husband had to work until late so he wasn't able to make it.
It was a bit chaotic trying to get out the door and it took forever ~ probably because I wasn't much help.
Finally out trick-or-treating!

Benjamin loved handing out the candy to the trick-or-treaters while Dad put the little ones to bed and then he got to head back out with Dad to get a few more houses.

Trunk or Treat

We headed off to the trunk-or-treat from Neverland and arrived just in time to

enjoy some chili . . .
smile . .
crawl under the table to lie down because our stomach hurt . . .
take a few more pictures . . .

pose with friends . . .
gather treats from others' trunks . . .

sit in the back seat and lie down because we felt sick . . .
pass out candy wrapped up with Dad because our coat fell on the ground and got wet . . .

and finish out the activity by sitting by the car to pass out candy from our bucket. It was a great night! (Benjamin was completely fine when we got home~ I feared the stomach bug was coming our way, but it never happened.)

Preschool Pumpkin Night

Emma and Dad went to preschool pumpkin night. Emma made this beautiful pumpkin and ate two cookies. She was a very happy girl!

Emma and her friend Maggie with Maggie's Dad Emma also played in the kitchen area and had everyone laughing with her pretend phone calls. She just kept saying "oh no. I'm just so sorry. Oh no. So, so, so, so, sorry."

Flat Stanley

Our cousin Hannah sent us her Flat Stanley, and we had fun with him for the week. Here are some of the things that we did with him.
