Imagination and Prayers
Emma's thinking has been totally imaginary lately. She is in constant dramatic motion with elaborate escapades involving sick babies who need an ambulance, princesses who are running from the dragon, and other wild adventures. Her prayers have also become quite interesting as well. For a few days I heard this phrase. "Please bless that I can grow up to be a mommy." It totally filled my heart. I felt so proud, and she kept praying for it. One night, I talked to Stephen about it. I told him how happy that made me feel. Then he laughed and said you know she's not praying to grow up to be a mommy don't you. "What are you talking about?" I said. Stephen replied "She is saying 'please bless that I can grow up to be a mermaid.'" Sure enough as I listened to the next prayer that is exactly what she said. (Bubble burst!)
