Benjamin Kindergarten School Picture

Acid Reflux

Right now those are the two words that I loathe most in the English language. Our poor little Jacob has been diagnosed with severe acid reflux. We are now trying the second medication, Prevacid, had a barium scope done, and are being referred to a pediatric gastrointestinal specialist. This also means for him lots of painful refluxing episodes, and it means for us lots of screaming and no sleep. We were thinking that the new medicine was helping him, but we had a horrible night last night and he screamed most of his awake time today. We are prayerful that we can get the right doctor/medication to help him soon. Here is a picture of him at the hospital for the scope last Thursday. Stephen stayed with him the whole time and held his little hand. I stood behind the wall and watched the computer screen of the procedure. My poor little guy!

Kindergarten Harvest Party

I volunteered to go help out at the kindergarten Harvest Party on Friday. I left Emma and Jacob with a very kind lady from church which worked out so well because she is right across from the school. Luckily Jacob slept for her in the Moby wrap the entire time. A blessing for sure.

I was in charge of the cookie decorating station. I was surprised how well the five kindergarten classes did in the gym with all the centers. Here are a few pictures that I snapped of Benjamin doing the activities.

Miss Tornado

My sweet little Emma has turned into a disaster. My mom nicknamed her the tornado while she was here because she is so fast at making messes and all you can do is clean up her "aftermath." Here are some pictures of two of the disasters that happened today.

She got her own snack and dumped the entire bag of goldfish. Luckily it was on the table and we were able to recover the snacks.
It is hard to tell in this picture but she dumped and entire baggie of hair bands all over the bathroom floor. The clean up was a bribe to Benjamin for a new ipod game if he wanted to do the job.

Emma was outside in the yard with Benjamin and Nana and took a tumble into one of the mole holes in our backyard (anyone know how to get rid of these things- we've tried everything-) and got a face full of dirt.

Fall Harvest Festival

In between Conference session we left Dad home with Jacob and headed to the Fall Harvest Festival. We enjoyed all the free activities. I love our little town!
