St. Patrick's Day!

The leprechaun's helper was not on the ball this year and didn't remember to help our little friend with his shopping until Sunday morning.  Oops!  But luckily this didn't deter our little friend who was very resourceful and found green and gold things we had around the house.  Phew- crisis adverted!  He was so sneaky and made us green muffins and along with that made a mess of our kitchen with his little footprints in the flour.  He left the kids gold eggs and some green stuff ($1.00 each).  But sadly neither of the traps that Emma or Benjamin made caught him.  Maybe next year guys!  The kiddos were in heaven, and everyone wore green so there was no pinching going on here.  Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Emma's trap with sticky tape for him to get stuck too.
Benjamin's trap with a hole for him to fall into and then not be able to get out.

Valentine's Day

These are pictures of the celebration we did with the kiddos.  We actually got a sitter and went out to a couple's Valentine's party that was lots of fun.  Happy Heart Day!

Emma's 5th Birthday Celebration!

Emma had a very special birthday this year. Good thing it was her Golden birthday because I'm really not sure that it can ever be repeated!  It started on January 29th when Aunt Liz flew into town.  She brought with her a very special present.  Emma got to open it on the morning of January 31st.

Aunt Liz gifted Emma her American Girl doll Kiersten that she had when she was a little girl.

She also opened matching outfits for her doll and herself for our very special tea time celebration . . .
at the American Girl Doll Store!

Then on Sunday, February 2nd we celebrated with a much anticipated original Liz cake.  Emma has been asking her for a whole year for a Brave cake made by Aunt Liz (She flew out last year for Benjamin's birthday and made him a lego brick one.)

Then on her real birthday of February 5th in the morning, she got to open a few more presents which included the Kiersten book and nightgown and stuffed kitties.

We celebrated with a pizza dinner (her request).

And then the final presents from Nana and Papa a new brush for her doll's hair, a card with money from Grandma and Grandpa, and last but not least . . .

a new scooter!

The night ended with more of the Brave cake and strawberry ice cream. Whew what a celebration!
Happy 5th Birthday Miss Emma Leigh!
