Disneyland Trip
We headed to Disneyland from September 15 through the 19th. Stephen's sisters Liz and Bekki along with Bekki's two youngest children Erin and Brooke joined us. It was a great trip although we did end it the last night in the ER to find out that Emma had an ear infection and catch an earlier plane home. We did make memories that will last a lifetime. Here are some of my favorite photos.

Bekki and Liz made us all matching tie dye Disney shirts!

Innocence
One day last week it was beautiful warm day and poor Benjamin needed to get out of the house. So at 4:30 we hit the store for some picnic fixins and drove in the driveway as Stephen had just pulled in. We unloaded a few groceries and loaded in Benjamin's bike to head to the park. We enjoyed a delicious meal of picnic food at the park. It was a beautiful warm 84 degrees outside and so enjoyable. I know there aren't many days left like this so we tried to enjoy it and make the most of it.
As we were eating a dad and his son and daughter rode to the park. The boy was immediately getting into trouble. He came by Benjamin and pretended like he was going to hit him with the bike and then swerved away at the last minute. Then he was kicking his sister and another girl at the park in the shins. At one point I hear him yell some not so nice and a bit colorful language. In stark contrast, Stephen and I sat and watched Benjamin ride cautiously around the park dinging the bell on his bike. He just looked so innocent and oblivious to the scene the boy was making. I felt a pang in my heart. I don't want my little boy to go into the big bad world. He'll encounter more than his share of boys such as this one. At that moment especially, I just wanted him to stay little and just continue riding his bike around cautiously, dinging his bell. My little boy with the innocence of youth will soon leave me, and I felt it so much that night.
