Christmas Day

We had a wonderful quiet Christmas at home. We woke up that morning to find that Santa had come! Waiting on the stairs to see what Santa brought.
Benjamin's presents- Toy Story 3 Lego train, Mickey Mouse light, and Toy Story DVD
Emma- dolly stroller, white dog (which she calls Webkinz), Beauty and the Beast DVD, and Mickey Light
Jacob- Elmo DVD, Piggy Bank, and Mickey Mouse Light

Benjamin saw these light up Mickey Mouses at the Disney on Ice show that we went to together in November. I told him they were too expensive there and that I could try and find one another place. I looked and looked but I couldn't find them. Benjamin was ecstatic to see that Santa found them!
We then opened presents and played with toys all day long. I was the first one out of my pajamas at 3:00p.m. It was a great relaxing family day.

Santa Visits Our House!

I don't know how in the world we got so lucky, but Jumpin' Jasper must have put in a good word for us. We heard bells ringing and then looked outside the back door to see Santa Claus standing there. He came inside and brought each of the kids a pre-Christmas present. He even knew our elf's name and reported back on things that Jumpin' Jasper had told him about our family! The kids loved their presents, Benjamin a train that you build and paint, Emma a princess music box, and Jacob a new outfit to wear. All the gifts are just perfect. Thanks Santa for taking time out of your busy schedule to come and visit! We will be sure to have those chocolate chip cookies that you requested ready tomorrow night!

First Lost Tooth!

We have a brand new event for our family. Benjamin lost his first tooth. It had been really loose for almost two weeks and Benjamin begged daily for someone to get it out. (We think it was a bit prematurely loose because he bit apart a lego.) He came home from school with it really loose. Dad was able to pop it out before dinner. It was a good think too because he might have lost it while eating.

We also learned that the tooth fairy must be pretty sneaky. Benjamin woke up at 10:30 just as Mom and Dad were going to bed to find $1.oo under his pillow. She must be pretty stealthy to come when the parents are still awake!
