Pinewood Derby

Benjamin got to participate in his first pinewood derby as a Cub Scout.  He was super excited.  He and Dad built a car that was named "Fireball."  We headed off to the event.  It was decorated really well and there was a very elaborate electronic track.  Unfortunately the computerized track wasn't working and things were delayed a bit.  When the races hadn't even started and it was 7:45p.m., I knew that I just had to take the little kids home.  Come to find out later with a phone call that . . .

Benjamin won first place out of 29 cub scouts!

Aunt Bekki, Cousin Erin, and Cousin Brooke were visiting.  Stephen helped Brooke make a car and at the end there was a time for other racers to race their cars.  Brooke's car was fast and looked great with an awesome lightening bolt on it!

Below are some pictures that I didn't take of the event.  These are from the Den leader of all the decorations, clever refreshments, and more of that fancy track.
