Memorial Day Weekend

 We had a great weekend.  Benjamin was off of school on Friday and Monday.  Dad took Friday afternoon off so while I stayed with a napping Jacob, Dad, Emma and Benjamin set out on an adventure.  They went geocaching and then out for frozen yogurt.  They found three caches including one inside the library which was really exciting.  Here are the pictures of their adventures.

 Then on Saturday we hit the zoo for a short time.  We saw the new zoo show, and Jacob was entranced by all the animals especially the birds.  I didn't expect him to sit as nicely as he did.  Score!  The only hiccups was that I brought the new camera without a memory card.  There was a spare in the bag but it was only a 512mb card.  It would only hold 9 pictures before the new camera declared it full.  So after taking and deleting we only have a few pictures of the day.

 

 

Then on Monday we ended up going swimming in the morning.  The pool doesn't allow pictures for safety reasons so no pictures of that event, but then after naps we hung out in the backyard before our  "picnic" dinner in the back yard.  Benjamin practiced t-ball and then had a sword fight with Emma.  Jacob ran around and chased everyone while I relaxed in the sun on a blanket.  It was pretty chilly and we'd wished that it had been warmer, but the kids didn't even seem to notice and loved playing outside and eating on the blanket in the backyard.
